What This Show Actually Is

This isn't a show just about how to speak English better at work. It's about how to sound more like yourself in English so you can be a better leader. You'll also learn from how some of the world's most interesting leaders think, communicate, and lead in a language and a culture that wasn't originally their own.

Leadership English sits at the intersection of leadership, communication, and executive presence, for people building careers and companies across languages and borders. My guests are founders, executives, and leaders who've had to earn their authority twice: once in their work, and once in the room.

We talk about influence, presence, and the real mechanics of being heard, the things nobody tells you in a language class, because they were never really about language in the first place.

Your Host

Hi, I'm Tannia.

For nearly two decades, I've coached executives and founders on communication, presence, and leadership identity, the kind of work that happens right before someone walks into the room that changes their career.

I started this podcast because the best conversations I was having weren't happening in coaching sessions. They were happening after, over coffee, in follow-up calls, in the moments when a leader finally said the thing they'd been circling around for an hour. I wanted more people to hear those conversations.

Why Listen

You won't leave with a vocabulary list.

You'll leave with a different way of thinking about your own presence in the room.

Real strategy, not platitudes

Every guest has actually done the thing we're talking about: led a team, raised a round, walked into a boardroom that didn't expect them.

The cross-cultural lens

Leadership looks different depending on where you learned it. These conversations hold multiple cultures at once, on purpose.

Communication as craft

How someone builds executive presence, earns trust, and gets heard, treated with the seriousness it deserves.

Stories that stay with you

Fewer frameworks, more honesty. The kind of conversation you'd want to be having yourself.
